Envirologic’s Summer Newsletter
July 22, 2022
Welcome to Envirologic’s Summer Newsletter, packed with interesting and educational articles and updates sure to satisfy your need for knowledge, information about our team and overviews of our exciting projects.
When Jeff Hawkins, our founder and CEO, decided to name this company Envirologic, he hoped the name would convey how he wanted to utilize a logical approach to conduct environmental consulting services. Six months after Envirologic was incorporated, co-owner David Warwick (President) came on board with a similar vision. In this newsletter edition, we share more about their story to illustrate who we are as a company and why we do what we do.
This edition also contains articles examining the environmental challenges many Michigan communities face when redeveloping former gas and service stations and how the brewery market has found reusing brownfield sites to be advantageous. Other topics we discuss include the common environmental concerns for sites historically used as orchards and vineyards, as well as an overview of a recent Envirologic project where vapor intrusion mitigation was integrated into new construction. We also offer more information on the grant funding available for brownfield revitalization through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the $1.5M that Michigan communities were awarded this spring from the U.S. EPA’s Brownfields Program.
Lastly, we are proud to announce that we launched our new website in June! We felt it was essential to update our site to provide more of what our clients were asking for. To help celebrate the launch of our site, Envirologic is donating $1 for each unique website visit for the first month to the Michigan Trails and Greenways Alliance.
Please enjoy our Summer Newsletter. As always, we stand ready to partner with you on your next project.
